DiPVaC 7
DiPVaC7 will be held at the University of Salzburg, Austria, from 23rd to 25th September 2026.

The conference website is: https://dipvac7.com/

Keynote speakers:
  • Miriam Meyerhoff - University of Oxford, UK
  • Emma Moore - University of Sheffield, UK
  • John A. Bateman - University of Bremen, Germany
  • Gunther Kaltenböck - University of Graz, Austria
  • Scott F. Kiesling - University of Pittsburgh, USA

The 2026 conference theme is Interfaces. While addressing the conference theme is not a requirement, we particularly welcome research that intersects variationist approaches to discourse-pragmatic variation and change with other research traditions, such as cognition, social perception, multimodality, etc.

The call for papers for DiPVaC7 will be published in September 2025.
